Production Engineer at Smurfit Westrock

Are you an engineer looking to work strategically, innovatively, and with the future in mind? Smurfit Westrock is seeking new colleagues who want to help us move forward!

The role of a production engineer is varied and involves leading projects within production regarding new equipment, methods, and processes.

This can involve small detail improvements as well as larger renovations in the process. You will conduct process investigations, prepare and implement training initiatives, and assist with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and deviation management. Workplace safety and health are core values in our operations and permeate all our work, which is why these issues are also part of your responsibilities.

Does this sound like an exciting role but you are unsure if it fits you? We are also looking for an engineer who wants to contribute to the development of world-class maintenance! Are you a technically curious and analytical engineer who wants to work with long-term availability, data-driven improvement work, and lifecycle optimization of our assets? Perhaps we have a suitable role for you too!

Your Background

We are looking for someone who is a civil engineer or has other education and experience that we consider equivalent. Furthermore, you have several years of relevant work experience and some form of experience in production or process industry, preferably within pulp/paper technology. Since we are an international corporation, it is required that you have good knowledge of Swedish and English.

As a person, you are communicative and thrive in collaboration. You are driven to achieve set goals, are proactive and flexible to change, and take independent responsibility for solving tasks. You are attracted to working close to production and need to feel comfortable in the production environment while also being able to work strategically to develop our future production.
